Ehlers-Danlos disease, usually called syndrome, is an inherited connective tissue disorder that spares the central nervous system except in its component. It manifested by a set of symptoms and clinical signs which are expression tissue’s frailty. Visual manifestations explained fragility proprioception disturbance increased muscle dysfunctions: cornea’s fragility, photophobia, diplopia, blepharospasms, eyelids’ retractions, myopia, astigmatism. The orthoptist’s role to help prescription prism correction rather than rehabilitation, ineffective. In combination, global effect treatments, particular for dystonia, dysautonomia… essential this frequent poorly described therefore very seldom diagnosed. transmitted all children affected person. objective work contribute diagnosis disease more often frequently families. orthoptist's important because diplopia has functional consequences.
